In December 2002, a well-known Spanish businessman, occasionally attending a fado show promoted by guitarist Valentim Filipe, was impressed by some sounds that he had never seen before in this musical genre, and how he had a “World Music Festival” on his agenda for August of the following year, invited the Algarve musician to join that musical base, organize a group to participate in the said festival.
